Bio
ModoDiva is an alt rock band born in Barcelona. Raised on the chaos of loud guitars, heavy riffs, and cramped rehearsal spaces, their sound reflects both the grit of their influences and the diversity of its members.
Formed when Dani and Dalmau met and started trading songs, chasing volume over sleep. Collaboration with other artists and musicians around city led them to meet Curtis who joined on bass in 2021, grounding the mayhem, and when Kyle stepped in on vocals a year later, the band’s identity sharpened: alive, untamed, and built for conquering the stage.
A key part of that community was their friend Daria Artiola, an active force in Barcelona’s live independent scene, who supported the band early on and introduced them to producer Ignacio Miranda. The four-piece found its stride in 2024 with Nothing Special, a debut EP sculpted with Miranda, where layered guitars and driving rhythms revealed a sound designed to explode live.
The name? A a cerveça-infused accident at 33|45 Bar & Gallery. Over beers and a fiery exchange, the phrase “diva mode” turned into ModoDiva, fitting for a band that thrives on mistakes that sound to good to ignore.
From their first sold-out shows in 2025 at Club Magic and Black Lab to writing sessions in Tenerife, ModoDiva has remained committed to the essentials: distortion, sweat, and the shared electricity between band and crowd.
Because in the end, this really is nothing special. It’s you, friends, the city and the joy of making it all matter together.
